The Central Ohio Irish Club and Millennium Academy of Irish Dance and Music are pleased to announce the opening of registration for the 6th Annual Buckeye State Feis which will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2014.
Check-in Saturday beginning at 7:30am. Feis begins promptly at 8:30am with figures, First Feis, Beginner 1 and Beginner 2. We will run two champ stages, and OC and PC dancers will compete youngest to oldest. Soda Bread entries must be submitted by 10:00am. Music competition begins at 11:00am and ends at 1:00pm. Registration limits: 600 First Feis through Prizewinner, 275 PC/OC. PC/OC will dance Hard Shoe round first. Registration closes once cap is reached or March 5, 2014, whichever comes first.
Help make your dancer's day even more special by registering for our crowd pleasing lunch time Treble Reel Special. Here’s his or her chance to come up with a costume, steps and even dance with a friend or two, just for fun! Dancers may dance as soloists, in pairs or threes, in costume or not, with the option of using props. Dancers may create original choreography for one step right and left (16 bars total).
Several vendors will be at the BSF including OSU Sports Medicine. They will offer injury checks conducted by a physical therapist who specializes in Performing Arts Medicine, has competition and teaching experience in Irish Dance, and has a passion for keeping dancers strong and healthy. Minors will need parent/guardian signed permission. For pricing information or to schedule an appointment, please visit the website.
Be sure to visit our BSF Raffle Booth! Tickets are $1 each, 6/$5 or 15/$10. Everyone will be given a complimentary ticket when they pick up their competition number to take their chance at specially selected basket. The raffle drawings will be held 20 minutes after the Treble Reel Competition ends.
Be sure to register today to make sure you are a part of the 2014 Buckeye State Feis.

The process of paying for parking has changed at our venue. The cost remains $7. However, no attendant will be there to take your money as you enter or exit. Instead, you will pay by automated machines(cash or credit) while at the event anytime upon arriving or prior to leaving. You will get a ticket from a dispenser upon entering lot. You will need to take your ticket with you into the event. There will be a machine in the lobby and one outside by East/West entrance that you can insert your ticket and pay the $7 to get it validated. When you leave Vets parking lot, you will insert the validated ticket into the machine at exit. Wait for the ticket to come back out and when you grab it the arm will open for you to leave.
You can validate your ticket at any point during the day. You do not have to wait and do it when you are leaving. We suggest paying when you arrive to avoid delay in leaving the event. One suggestion also might be that once you validate your ticket go put it in your car so you will know where it is when the craziness of packing up occurs. Parking across the street at COSI Lot remains $5 cash that you pay upon entry.
