Millennium Families, thank you for your interest in volunteering. Parents with younger dancers should volunteer for afternoon shifts. Parents with older dancers volunteer for afternoon shifts. We ask all families at Millennium to please cover at least one or more shifts in order to make our Feis run smoothly. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated! Green Volunteer Shirts provided to adults. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Older Siblingsare welcome to volunteer as well! The following positions are available. Please review the descriptions below and complete the form at the end to notify us of your interest.

 

Registration - Greet competitors and families as they arrive at Feis. Distribute competitor numbers and answer general questions. Shifts available – 7:30am-10:30am and 10:30am–1:30pm

 

Volunteer Desk Check-In – Greet and check in volunteers as they arrive for shift, distribute volunteer shirts – Shifts available - 7:30am-9:30am, 9:30am–11:30am, 11:30am–1:30pm, 1:30pm-3:30pm

 

Awards Table– Distribute awards to dancers in competitions from Beginners to Open Prize Winners. Shifts Available – 8:30am-11:30am, 11:00am-2:00pm, and 1:30pm-4:30pm

 

Tabulations – Enter dancer scores in to the Feisworx system. Must supply own laptop for shift (no iPads). Shifts available – 8:00am-12:30pm and 12:15-4:30pm

Hospitality – Refresh snacks and drinks for judges at each stage. Assist Stage monitors with any emergency needs. Shifts Available - 8:30am-11:30am, 11:00am-2:00pm, and 1:30pm-4:30pm

 

Airport/Hotel Transportation – Greet judges and musician at airport on Friday afternoon or evening and transport to hotel. Transport judges and musician from hotel to Veterans Memorial on the morning of the Feis. Transport judges and musicians to dinner following after the Feis. Must supply own large vehicle (luggage/multiple passengers). Shifts Available – Fri. afternoon, Fri. evening, Sat. morning and Sat. evening

 

Raffle – Staff Raffle Boutique, sell raffle tickets, distribute baskets to winners at event –Shifts available – 8:30am-11:30am and 11:30am–2:00pm

 

First Aid – Actively staff first aid desk. RNs desired for this position. Shifts – 8:30am-12:30am, 12:30pm-4:30pm

 

Stage Monitor –Manage competitions at stage by keeping competitions running as scheduled for your stage, checking in competitors, distributing score sheets to judges, assisting judges, competitors, and/or musicians with any special needs. Shifts available – 8:30am-1:00pm and 12:30pm-4:30pm.

 

Set Up – Assist with set up on Friday during the day. Bring own tools to help. Be prepared for heavy lifting and manual work while setting up stages, tables, and chairs. Shift Available 11:00am-5:00pm

 

Decorations – Assist with decoration set up on Friday during the day and clean up after the Feis on Saturday. Shifts available -11:00m-5:00pm and Saturday from 3:30pm-6:00pm

 

Clean Up – Assist with clean up and tear down of stages, tables, etc. Shift available 3:30pm-6:00pm

 

Results Runners – Pick up competition score envelopes from stages and take to tabulation office. This position is usually held by older dancers and/or older siblings. Shifts available 8:30am-10:30am, 10:30am-12:30am, 12:30pm-2:30pm, 2:30pm-4:30pm

 

Starters – Count off beginner dancers. Only experienced and mature dancers should volunteer for this role. Shifts available 8:30am-10:00am and 9:45am-11:15am
